A New Year begins and I count myself lucky to have had the chance to ring it in with a delightful family in Scotland, the daughter of whom is an old friend from my school days. She gave me the gift of this journal and therefore I decided I might as well put it to some use. Of course I put it through some extensive testing to make sure the privacy hexes stand up, I'd be horribly embarrassed if someone managed to break one of mine!
So what will this year bring? The end was eventful, what with the concert attack, and now I see that the perpetrator is dead. I'm hardly surprised to see Order members reacting with shock and chagrin about that, and barely making a peep about the deaths and injuries she caused at the concert.
On a brighter note, my return to work was greeted with two new charms and three hexes to test, which will be fun. I always enjoy this part of being on the Committee, much more than the meetings which always seem to go on far too long. Besides, I hate it when it's my turn to take the minutes.
